The Deadliest Day to Go to the Hospital!

The first Wednesday in August!

New Interns traditionally start on this day. Statistically there are 45 more deaths in hospitals on this day than any other day of the year!

The Rants Fact Sheet

I'm a 51 year old husband and father of 7. Before you ask, yes, they are all mine and all from one marriage to my beautiful wife of 28 years. She did the heavy lifting, I just get the blame when they act up. I live in the suburbs of a midsized city and I drive a minivan or an 10 year old Jeep Cherokee.

I love hanging out with my family. I like to analyze and discuss life's weird but common little quirks. If you need to know what I do to help peg me, I am a federal employee. I work at the Erie VA Medical Center. But that is just my job. My life is in the details of my family and friends. Anybody can do a job and make a living, but there is much, much more to life.
This blog is about life. Or rather, it is about life as I see it. I call it my "rants" not because it is political or societal commentary per se, though I don't preclude the option, but because I just may be partly insane.
